Once when our daughter was a toddler…probably 3 years old…I found her wide awake in her bed, staring at the ceiling way past her normal bedtime. When I gently asked her why she was still awake, she replied “Mommy, I can’t sleep. My heart is too busy.”
Tonight, that’s my excuse. My heart is way too busy.
With just a month to go on the countdown chart, we gathered with a handful of close friends earlier in the evening tonight to pray and worship together. This special group of brothers and sisters prayed over us, encouraged us and just generally blessed us by being present and loving on us.
We made up a list of prayer points for the month of December (scroll down to see them) that we copied out and shared with everyone tonight. I’d like to share them here too, because, well, my heart is busy and if yours is too…let’s pray together for some of these things and whatever else God lays on our hearts.
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18

-Travel mercies
-Still need to be fully funded for our outreach ($16,621 still needed)
-For God to reveal next steps for us for after the CDTS (Crossroads Discipleship Training School) with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) is over
-For God’s provision when our YWAM CDTS is over
-For Will & Katie’s schooling to continue going well
-For vital and lasting relationships to be forged in the mission field
-For effective communication with our support team at home
-For God’s protection and covering over all these things
-For spiritual growth and protection for us (Ephesians 6:11-13)
-For the team that we will be serving with
-For the people that will be receiving us in the Israel & India
-For the people that we will be ministering to in Israel & India
-For effective witness for Christ in the countries we minister in
