Road Map

Isaiah-30

While home in NY over the Summer and into the Fall season, we’ve loved every bit of time here with our family and friends. We truly love our home here in NY and the comfort of the familiar and security of people who know us and love us well. It’s very hard for us to leave this place, and each day here until we leave is a gift!

“Where are you going again?”

“What are you going to do?”

“Is it weird to be home knowing you’re leaving again soon?”

We love it when our friends ask us questions like these, because it means you care! You’re thinking about us and interested in what God is doing in our lives!

To that end, here’s a blog post that will answer a few of these questions and provide a road map for what we are stepping out into and trusting our good and loving Heavenly Father with!

12/15/15 – We leave New York for Texas to visit with Sam’s brother & his family. We’re excited to get to spend Christmas with this dear family and celebrate a special holiday with Sam’s mom, step dad, brother, sister in law and kids. I’m not promising anything, but if Sam even puts on a cowboy hat for 5 minutes there WILL be a picture, people! Merry Christmas, ya’ll!! 🙂

12/28/15 – We leave Texas for Kona, Hawaii to staff CDTS (Crossroads Discipleship Training School) with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) at the University of the Nations. This is the same missions training school/base our family attended last year, BUT this time we’ll be staffing the school and helping other students through the training. PRAY for us. PRAY for the students & other leaders. PRAY for our kids during this 3 month school & time of training.

April & May 2016 – Outreach to Germany. We will take a small group of about 10-15 people from the CDTS to the outreach portion of this incredible school. PRAY for us as we enter “The Land” we believe God has called our family to “for such a time as this”. The outreach team we travel with will exit Germany by the end of May, first of June – but we will remain.

  • Pray For:
  • The upcoming Crossroads School that we will be helping out with.
  • Our Visas.
  • The Berlin YWAM team serving Syrian refugees and the city.
  • Will and Katie’s transition to German Schools.
  • That the English speaking public school, JFK, that we’ve applied to would accept us.
  • The right housing situation to present itself.
  • For more people to join our team of supporters & partner with us on a monthly basis.

We’re grateful to God to be here during this season … for the changing colors of the leaves, for apple cider donuts and everything pumpkin spice flavored, for warm and cozy fires with friends & family, for every event, shared meal, coffee date & worship service where we see familiar and smiling faces. It’s all really good stuff! Like re-homing Marley, giving up our rights and personal space, living sacrificially and totally relying on God for it all … leaving NY is on the list of “This is Hard BUT He is Worth It All”.

Thank you for your encouragement, for your continued support and linking arms with us as we step out. This is our home. You are our family & community, and being sent out from here means you go with us!

If you don’t already have a passport, apply for one! 🙂 Track with us as we begin our ministry in Berlin and plan on getting a German stamp in your passport when you come visit us! Come minister alongside us. Plan to come visit & see what God is doing firsthand!

Auf Wiedersehen (until the next time),

Angie, Sam & kids
