We are Detroit-bound! We just got the word that we are approved for a place to live!
After being State-side for one month, having gone on a vision trip for one week, we finally have secured a landing spot in Detroit.
No, we won’t be in Hamtramck, not yet. We are going to settle in temporarily in a rental home that was being used by YWAM Detroit. It’s a fairly large old home in a neighborhood that is currently being revitalized, brick by brick. It is a 10-minute drive from Hamtramck.
Come and visit us! We move in on September 1st. Currently, we don’t have furniture so you might want to bring your sleeping bags!
We leave for Michigan on the 24th of August. We will first head to a debrief week with a team from YWAM. They will help us to process where we have been so that we can be on firm footing when we go to Detroit.
Sam’s brother is coming to the area with his entire family from Texas. They will be here for one week in early August. We only see them every three years or so.
Meanwhile, we will be fundraising, visiting churches and homes to share our vision. We reached our goal of $3,600 for our last fundraiser! Praise the Lord! Look for a new support email to come out soon. Our new fundraiser can be seen here
Thanks to all of you who understand and stand with us. We couldn’t do this work of ministry in the Muslim communities we serve without you.
Sam, Angie, Will, and Katie
So good to hear how God is opening each door, one at a time. So glad you’ll get a proper debrief as well. Love and greetings from Shillong, India where I’m teaching my workshop this week in their DTS!
Blessings,
Terry
